I have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas in Austin for Radio-Television-Film. but went back for my teaching certificate in science while living in Dallas  at the University of Texas in Dallas. I spent six years as a classroom teacher and then went on to earn my Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas. This will be my 8th year as a counselor and my 4th in Round Rock ADS. I am very excited to be the freshman counselor at Westwood this year, and look forward to helping the class of 2013 fulfill all of their high school and post-secondary goals!

Mr. Hildebrand began his education career in Rockport, Texas as a teacher and coach after earning his Bachelors of Science Degree at Southwest Texas State University in Criminal Justice.  While teaching seniors at Leander High School he completed his Masters Degree in Educational Administration.

One of a family of educators, he has 28 years of education experience as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal.  Mr. Hildebrand’s wife is the principal at Blackland Prairie Elementary School.  His son is a senior at Texas A&M University, and his daughter is a junior at The University of Texas.  He cherishes time with family, friends, sports, and the outdoors.

Every year holds new challenges, new experiences, and new successes.

I am proud to be a part of the Westwood Warrior family and look forward to being part of the greatest year yet in Westwood High School history.
