Transportation Overview

Round Rock ISD is a fast growing school district covering 110 square miles and residing in two counties (Williamson and Travis) and two cities (Round Rock and Austin). The district consists of four high schools, eight middle schools, and 27 elementary schools. Enrollment has exceeded 35,000 students this year and is expected to increase by over 1,000 students per year for the foreseeable future.

The Round Rock ISD Transportation Department serves approximately 9,500 students twice per day. The department currently operates 120 routes generating 760 daily trips while driving approximately 12,500 miles per day.
