Child Care

RRISD has two Child Development Centers for teen parents. One is located in Great Oaks Elementary at 16455 Great Oaks Dr. The second centeChild Care Front Roomr is located in Union Hill Elementary at 1511 Gulf Way.

The Great Oaks CDC serves students attending feeder patterns for Round Rock High School, McNeil High School, Westwood High School and Success West.

The Union Hill CDC serves students attending feeder patterns for Stony Point High School and Success East.

Both Centers are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

 The Centers open for student parents at 8:00AM and close at 4:30PM on regularly scheduled school days. Child care is not provided on student holidays. Evening child care is now available for students attending the Success Nights program. Evening care is offered on a limited basis at the Union Hill Center only. Transportation is available. Please contact Darene Raiford at 424-8713 for more information.

Care is provided for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years of age. All children must have current immunizations before attending.

Transportation is provided for full-time pregnant and parenting students and their children. Service is provided from the student’s home to the Center, then to the appropriate campus. Individual car seats are provided for each child. Please allow one week notice to arrange for service.

Students are encouraged to call the appropriate Center in advance to arrange for an initial visit and tour. At this time, enrollment paperwork may be completed. In addition to the enrollment packet, parents must provide the child’s current immunization record, Social Security Card and official Birth Certificate, Verification of Birth Facts or Authorization of Paternity.
