Teacher of the Year for 2008-2009
Hello! My name is Dulcinea Davidson. This year is my
third year teaching at the Round Rock Opportunity
Center and my fourth year teaching Middle School Math. I
received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from
Western New Mexico University in 2000.
I am originally from Taos, New Mexico and made my way to
Texas two years ago where I taught 7th Grade Math in
Weslaco, Texas before moving to Austin one year ago. I
am very excited to be here at the Round Rock Opportunity
Center and look forward to challenging the students to
better themselves both in the classroom and in their
everyday life. |
Powered By The Sun: RROC Receives
Partners In Education Grant

Brian LeBansky, Dominic Perez,
Kenneth Carson, Lisa Blair, and Ellen Blumberg received an
$823.28 Excellence in Education Grant from the Round Rock
ISD Partners in Education Foundation. The grant, "Powered by
the Sun," will be used to provide a project based learning
experience for middle and high school science students about
renewable sources of energy. Students will learn by
designing, building, and testing their own solar powered
vehicles. The grant is part of a larger effort underway at
the Opportunity Center to teach students to make
environmentally friendly choices about their personal,
school, and community's use of energy in the future.
