(newspaper)

The student newspaper is published eight times during the school year by students enrolled in the advanced journalism classes. Issues of the newspaper are scheduled to come out Sept. 15, Oct. 13, Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Jan. 26, Feb. 23, April 6, May 11.

The student newspaper is dependent upon advertising to pay all expenses. Ad rates are $5 per column inch and the minimum ad size is four column inches. Advertisers receive a 10 percent discount if they contract to advertise in four or more issues during the school year. Advertisers are requested to pay in advance for all advertising and checks should be made payable to RRHS. Anyone interested in advertising should contact Susan Komandosky, newspaper adviser, at 464-6038.

The newspaper is highly regarded on both the state and national level. In recent years the newspaper has annually received an Award of Distinguished Merit from the Interscholastic League Press Conference and an All-American with four Marks of Distinction from the National Scholastic Press Association.
