Hi, we’re the Robotics club, gathering students and adult leaders from Round Rock High School, Stony Point High School and engineers from Celerity. Starting with only a box of raw materials and our brains, we have to design, build, and then demonstrate a remote-controlled robot that will perform a given task, in doing so, score us points. Mentors from local engineering businesses help us as technology coaches, whose job is to guide us in understanding the engineering process, teaming, brainstorming and other business principles. On contest day, teams put their machines in a head-to-head sports-like competition to see which one comes out FIRST.
