Youth Volunteer of the Year Winners!

Congratulations to Dragon football, as well as the Principles of Education classes who were both selected as Youth Volunteers of the year.

This fall Dragon Football visited all RRHS elementary feeder schools as part of their athletes for literacy program, Dragon Tales. For this reason, Great Oaks Elementary chose to honor Dragon Football by selecting them as their 2012 Youth Volunteer of the Year Award winner!

Throughout the year, Mrs. Mica's 1st and 5th period Principles of Education classes have made weekly trips to Bluebonnet Elementary school to help their students improve their reading skills. The program has been so successful that Bluebonnet named these students the Bluebonnet Elementary Youth Volunteers of the year.

Congratulations to Dragon Football, the Principles of Education classes and their sponsors Jamie Lawlis and Peggy Mica respectively for showing their dedication to helping future Dragons!
