PROJECT GRADUATION MEETING
There will be a Project Graduation general meeting for all senior parents on Tuesday January 31st at 7:00 pm in the 100 building lecture hall. We need several volunteers to make this year's party a success so please join us Tuesday night to find out more about Project Graduation. We are still looking for someone who can help us with our website, if you are interested please contact Dawn Steele at dsteele1@austin.rr.com.
CEREAL BOWL
Stony Point High School has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged us to a Cereal Bowl! Benefitting the Round Rock Serving Center, each school will collect bags and/or boxes of cereal (15oz minimum). The school that collects the most boxes of cereal will take home the pride!! The winner will be announced at the varsity boys basketball game on February 7th at Stony Point High School. Deadline to turn in the cereal is Friday, February 3rd. Cereal can be turned in to any of our RRHS teachers. Please help us help the Round Rock Serving Center and support our Round Rock Dragons at the same time! GO DRAGONS!
RRHS ALUMNI BASEBALL GAME
On Saturday, February 4, 2012 please join us for the 2012 Round Rock High School Alumni Baseball game. Gates open at noon with many activities planned including merchandise and a silent auction. Come out to see your favorites from past and present as well as your 2012 RRHS players.
PAL APPLICATIONS
If you enjoy working and mentoring children and can be a positive role model for others, apply for the PAL program! Applications are now available in room 126 with Mrs. Sarlls. You must come in person to apply. Applications and evaluations are due by 4:15 in room 126 on Wednesday, February 8th.
PRINCIPAL BROWN BAG LUNCH
Please join us for a Brown Bag Lunch with Principal Natalie Nichols on Thursday, February 9th at 12pm. Ms. Nichols and her panel of experts will be on hand to answer questions, hear concerns and offer feedback to parents on a variety of topics. PTSA will be sponsoring the event and light snacks and refreshments will be offered. This event will be held in the 700 Building Cafeteria from 12pm-1pm. Preceding the brown bag, our PTSA will be holding a short regular meeting of the association. We will be electing this year’s nominating committee at this meeting. If you would like to help by serving on this committee, please be there by 11:45am for the start of the meeting. PING PONG TOURNAMENT
Student Council will be hosting its first ping pong tournament on February 17 at 5:00 in the 100 gym. Admission is only $1 to watch classmates compete for The Golden Paddle. If you are interested in playing in this fun event, the cost per player is $5.00. In order to play, you must attend one of the mandatory meetings on Thursday, January 26 in room 126. There will be a meeting at 8:45 and one after school at 4:15. All forms and fees must be returned to Mrs. Sarlls in room 126 by Monday, January 30.
CELEBRATION OF FAMILIES
Round Rock ISD is planning its annual "Celebration of Families" Parent Summit for Saturday, February 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Stony Point High School. The Summit is a resource for parent education and family engagement. Click here to find out more.
UNDERSTANDING PSAT SCORES
PSAT scores are being distributed and explained in Sophomore and Junior English classes this week. Along with the scores, the students will be given an explaination for understanding the scores. Students may log-in to My College QuickStart a free, personalized college and career planning tool powered by your PSAT/NMSQT results.

YEARBOOK ORDERING DEADLINE
Deadline for ordering the 2012 yearbook is February 14 Want to be guaranteed a 2012 yearbook? Yearbook orders must be finalized in February and we want everyone who wants one to have a copy. No namestamping orders will be taken after that date. Only a limited number of copies will be available after distribution and the price will increase to $80 after that date. Download the form here and send it in with your order. (Please do not drop cash off at the front office. All cash orders should be taken directly to room 124 after checking in with the front office!)

GRADUATE WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE HONORS
Students must serve a total of 80 hours to be completed during the four years of high school. If you are interested in learning more about this program, visit our Dragon Force page on the PTSA website. Forms can down loaded from the website or picked up in room 134. Forensics
This past weekend 3 RRHS debate teams competed at the Mayde Creek HS tournament in Houston. All were successful!

Dragon Basketball
Congratulations to our Dragon and Lady Dragon Basketball Teams! Tuesday night both teams beat McNeil HS in district play! Final scores were: Dragons 81 - Mavericks 70. Lady Dragons 54 - Lady Mavericks 47!
