Jollyville Celebrates Dr. Seuss Week
March 8^th-12^th
To honor the birthday of Dr. Seuss, Jollyville students will participate in the following activities:
Monday: Green Day, wear green
Tuesday: Foot Day, wear funny shoes, socks etc.
Wacky Wednesday: mismatch your clothes
Thursday: Hat Day, wear a funny hat
Friday: Costume Day, dress like a Seuss character

Jollyville Receives Top Rating
The Texas Education Agency released the state accountability ratings on July 31, 2009. Jollyville received a rating of Exemplary. To receive an Exemplary rating, at least 90% of the students must pass the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test.

Jollyville Elementary is going green!
We have streamlined our school supply list this year. Through district funds we will purchase class sets of those items that can be used for longer than one year, such as scissors. You should notice a lower cost for supplies for this very reason. We will also work very hard to distribute much of our school information electronically through the district E-News for the 2009-2010 school year. If you haven’t signed up you may go to the Enews link on the JVE webpage or http://www.roundrockisd.org and look on the left hand side where it says "subscribe." We will continue to make paper copies of certain items for those that need them, please let your child's teacher know! Thank you for your support in our efforts to help the environment.
