Alternatives to utilize vs. the parent pick up area
If students are going to be picked up in an area other than the parent pick up area, it needs to be on Gulf Way. Students can walk to the crossing guard area and be picked up there or they can utilize the bus area side walk to meet their rides in the back of the Union Hill area on Gulf Way. Other wise it is a safety issue to utilize the parking lot or the Union Hill pick up area. Traffic congestion does not lend itself to pickups in front of Union Hill.

Reflections Contest
Hopewell MS will participate in the Reflections Program this year which is sponsored by your PTA. The Reflections Program is a contest of the National PTA that gives an opportunity for students to explore and learn about various art forms by submitting their original creations. RRISD has traditionally placed at the state and national level in the contest. With the amazing talent at Hopewell, please encourage your students to enter. Deadline for entries is Monday, November 2, 2009. All entries should be turned in to the Hopewell Middle School Library.
