HORNET PRIDE - A TRADITION
Hopewell has a rich tradition in athletics and takes their Hornet Pride
throughout Round Rock. Hopewell offers three teams sports for Boys Athletics, Football,
Basketball and Track, The girls have Volleyball, Basketball and Track. RRISD has a two
team concept that includes an Green and White team. This maximizes participation and
allows athletes to be placed by many parameters to include physical maturation. Athletics
class is an opportunity that Hopewell Coaches focus on developing speed, strength, agility
and discipline in all manners related to athletics. The success that we reach during
Athletics has allowed Hopewell Athletics to have the winning tradition on the field as well
as in the classroom.
"Winning is not a sometime thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do
things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is a
habit. Unfortunately, so is losing."
