help identify student needs

support teachers and students so they can help students

work with individuals and groups

facilitate positive peer relationships

provide preventive and crisis counseling that deals with academic and emotional issues

provide guidance in course selection and post secondary education

assist in developing individual educational and behavioral plans

coordinate other school and community services for students and their families and make referrals for those services

assist with staff training and education

review test results and disseminate that information

help with career and character education

coordinate mentors and Peer Assistance and Leadership programs

facilitates community involvement in the school and students’ involvement in the community
