Math Olympiad: Several students from Great Oaks were among the nearly 150,000 students worldwide to participate this year in the Math Olympiad program. They participated in a series of five monthly contests of 5 problems each, from November to March, and weekly practice sessions under the supervision of Mrs. Baker. The students did well and all were recognized with certificates for their participation. Eight students earned pins for scoring in the top 10% of all participants.

Adult Volunteers: this is a friendly reminder that we need all parents who volunteer at the school to complete the on-line volunteer application. This policy is in effect at all schools as a measure to protect our students. The application only takes a few minutes, and it is required every year. If you are going along on field trips, reading to your child's class, working as a Watch DOG, copying materials for your teacher, shelving books in the library..... this means you are a volunteer! Please complete the application as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your attention to this important matter. http://www.roundrockisd.org/index.aspx?page=3346
