Can
you believe it is already May? Where has the year
gone? STAAR testing is done, and we are very proud
of our students! We will receive the raw data scores
from TEA at the end of May, but we will not know the
passing
standard for the tests until January. Our Algebra
and Geometry students will be taking End of Course
exams May 10-11. The math teachers are holding an
Algebra review session the week before. We
encourage all of our Algebra students to attend.
Our 8th grade graduation will be on May 24th, and
their end of the year party will be at Main Event on
May 25th. Our 6th and 7th grades award ceremonies
will be on May 25th, and the last day of school for
students is May 25th. We also have end of the year
concerts in band, choir, and orchestra. There are
many reasons to celebrate at Deerpark, and we hope
that you are able to attend the many end of the year
events. Please check the calendar on the website
for more information. I will also be sending more
information regarding awards ceremonies and
graduation through enews. As always, if you have
any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact
me. Stay Ranger Strong! |
