J Hatchett represented Chisholm Trail Middle School this
weekend at the TAME state level competition at Texas A&M College Station this
last weekend and placed 1st in 8th Grade Science and 2nd in Middle
School Geometry. Congratulations!!! |

Brooke Crosby represented Chisholm Trail in the Special
Olympics Area 13 Basketball Tournament at Texas State University March 2, 2013.
Brooke received 1st place and earned a gold medal in the
individual skills competition. |

Congratulations to Vaishnavi Sankar who won two awards at the
Austin Regional Science Festival on February 21st, 2013. Vaish won first place
in Chemistry and she also won the Broadcom Masters SSP award. Vaish will advance
to the Exxon Mobil Challenge to compete at the state level. Go Cougars!!!! |

On Saturday, Feb. 2nd, TAME (Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering)
members from CTMS went to the University of Texas to compete in the local area
competition.
The results of the competition are:
*Annie Wang placed 3rd in the Math Level 2 test and won
the Judges Choice Award with her team.
*Ryan Elam and his team won the Team Design Challenge.
All of the TAME club members did an EXCELLENT job and represented CTMS
well.

Brooke Crosby (7th grade) represented Chisholm Trail in the Special Olympics
Area 13 Tournament on Tuesday and brought home a silver medal in singles
bowling. She bowled her best two games in competition doubling her average in
both games. |

Congrats to H Williams, A Billings, and D Tang for auditioning this past weekend
(11/10) and making Region Band. This band will perform on December 1st and is a
great honor and privilege to do so. |

Congratulations to our CTMS
students who auditioned for district band this weekend. CTMS
had 9 kiddos make District Band: V Sriramprasad, C Ptacek, N Billings,
H Williams, M Benavides, D Tang, A Billings, P Harrison and J Zwerneman. 5 of
those students placed high enough to advance this coming Saturday when they go
against all the schools in our Region. All 26 of them. Those students are V
Sriramprasad, H Williams(3rd chair out of 44 students!!!), A Billings(5th chair
out of 71 students!!!), D Tang, and P Harrison(He got 3rd chair out of 61
students!!!) |

This past Saturday (10/13/12) 37 amazing singers from Chisholm Trail auditioned
for a coveted spot in the Region 26 Choir, and 13 hard working students achieved
their goal of being a member of the 2013 Region choir.
|
|
CTMS Orchestra students competed for a spot in the Region Orchestra this weekend
of 10/13.
Congratulations to H Choate, violin, V Sankar, violin, and N Starich, viola on
their acceptance into the Region Orchestra. They will be performing with the
Region Orchestra on November 17th. We are proud of all of the students who
tried out. |

Congratulations to Garima Singh
who was one of the top 15 finalists in North America for the Google Science
Fair. Her project is featured on their website along with the other finalists.
Our own Carolina Carner (science) even got some acknowledgement in Garima's
project for her help with Science Fair!
