I began to swim In my sea of thoughts And fly So high up you cannot see Me floating in the sky And in my head I hear The dolphins laughing in joy But it’s all an illusion As the water rises above my eyes And all I see are the winged dolphins, Voices still ringing, Smiling at me Tee-hee-hee - Creative Writers Club & Mr. Perez

Dolphins Blue is pretty, Sky is there On arms of friends, Dreaming is to stare
Into vast oceans, Streaks I see Dolphins with wings Smile at me
Their voices ring out And I know I’m crazy For saying these things But they call out and tell me “Keep dreaming, Keep laughing, Keep playing, Keep crying, But most of all, Forget about dying And start living your life.” |

First, a special thanks to Mr. Vasquez for helping us put the magazine online and all the faculty, staff, and parents for supporting our students. Mr. Perez also wants to thank all the students that sent their work to the magazine and all the Creative Writers Club members that helped put this magazine together. I believe it takes a brave person to send their work to get it published and read by others. Without any of the creative students at Chisholm Trail, Voice of One-Thousand Minds would not be possible. Thank You! |
