The Heart of Africa

Along the river, through the trees, the heart of Africa lays.

Found there are the huts a thousand years old, where people still live today.

Running across the small village, the poor ones shout with glee.

Inside their worn out bodies is hope, as their bright clothes blow in the breeze.

Coming here may seem too cruel for the weak, but somehow they are smart.

Answering their traditional song, they could only learn by heart.
