Artist Statement: I have pretty much been creating art all of my life, whether it was with my mom’s homemade Play-Doh or just doodling on any papers I could get my hands on. This year I really think that my ability to draw black and whites has grown, yet it has still been the most challenging. I find inspiration from my own random self, which is why my artwork has no evident theme. I have made everything from an orange Whale to a purple Round Rock this year, but looking back at last year my quality of work has improved. My favorite thing to do is paint because you don’t really have to follow any rules with it, you just go--which is why I personally love all of my painted pieces.
