Mustang Council

Purpose

The Mustang Council is the site-based advisory committee for Canyon Vista Middle School. The council is charged with the responsibility of making recommendations to the principal which improve the educational opportunities for students at CVMS. Once a recommendation is made to the principal, the Faculty Leadership Team will decide if the recommendation should be implemented, discussed further and voted upon by the entire faculty, shelved for future discussion/research, or rejected. 

The main topics of budgeting, curriculum, staffing patterns, staff development, and school organization should be the focus of the Mustang Council. Personnel concerns, discipline matters, or other confidential issues related to individual staff members or students are not appropriate discussion or agenda items.
