Canyon Vista TeleVision

Prerequisites: Submitted application at the time registration for the next school year, and Grade 7 or 8 standing

The Canyon Vista TeleVision class (CVTV) was created several years ago, and is the source for news, announcements, and documentation of campus events. Students in this class utilize digital camcorders, movie editing platforms, digital cameras, and multiple computer software programs to prepare their presentations.

Each morning, CVTV students are responsible for broadcasting a live show on campus channel 16 to inform students and staff of important events. Mr. Costello teaches the class, which meets for one class period each day. Other campus activities such as athletic events, concerts, plays, pep rallies, and campus clips require students to capture footage during other hours of the day, including before and after school.
