CAFE' Menu for September

The ‘café club’ (Cultural Awareness Friends and Educators) is representative of the diversity of the Canyon Vista Middle School population. The club promotes positive images of people from various cultures. Club members are encouraged to learn about their own cultures and those of others. Club members are also encouraged to improve their leadership and language skills while dispelling any stereo-types or misconceptions students may have of other cultures. We invite everyone to participate with us in a variety of activities throughout the year, and encourage staff participation.

CLUB ACTIVITIES: Want to watch foreign films?  Eat interesting ethnic food?  Celebrate a variety of cultural events throughout the year?  Learn about using a video-camera and film editing? You have to be a member of the club to participate in these fun-filled and informative activities, so sign up now!

PASSPORTS:  The Cultural Awareness Club will be issuing passports to all of its members!  These passports will be stamped each time a member attends a cultural program.  At the end of the year, the member with the most passport stamps will be awarded a prize.
