Birthday Book Program

I would like to offer you the opportunity to celebrate your child's birthday. This program allows you to purchase a birthday book to be placed into the library collection in honor of your child’s special day. You or your child may come to the library and select a book. I will put a special dedication in the front of the book. I will go to the classroom and present your child with their special book. Every student who then checks out that book will see the dedication in honor of your child's special day.

A Birthday Book order form will come home with your child on the first Tuesday of the month of their birthday. If you wish for your child to participate in the Birthday Book Program, fill out the form with your child's birth date and your preference as to who will be making the book selection. Please attach a check for $15.00 made out to Canyon Creek Elementary.

Through your donation, additional books will be purchased for the collection. It is important that we purchase books that have library binding if we are placing them into a collection that has a large rate of circulation. Books purchased at local bookstores have trade bindings. These bindings are fine for home or classroom use, but cannot withstand the rigors of continuous handling by little loving hands. Please stop by the library and select the book that you would like for me to present to your child on the special day!
