Hello! My name is Vicki Crain and I have the pleasure of
serving as principal at Cactus Ranch Elementary. I have
been in the education field for 17 years now, with the
last 14 years being with Round Rock ISD. During this
time, I have served as a first grade teacher, Reading
Recovery Teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher Leader,
Director of Elementary Language Arts, Assistant
Principal and Associate Principal. I have been blessed
to have worked at Cactus Ranch in some capacity since
its opening in 2001. We have seen tremendous growth in
enrollment at Cactus Ranch and with that growth come
unique challenges. Even with those challenges, I
couldn’t imagine a better place to work. Cactus Ranch
Elementary has the best faculty, staff, parents and
students!
At Cactus Ranch we truly live by our mission statement
of creating high-performing students, happy families and
excited educators.
Our TAKS scores
continue to exceed the state and district average and we are excited
about being given an “Exemplary” rating by the Texas Education Agency in
2005, 2006 and 2007! But our
strong academics only tell part of the story. Our entire faculty is
trained in our customer service philosophy. This philosophy is
noticeable from the second you walk into Cactus Ranch. Our teachers are
top-notch and are sought out from within the district and beyond to
share their expertise.
On a personal note, I have been married for 11 years to my husband,
David and have two wonderful children, ages 8 and 5. Being a parent is
my greatest achievement! As a family we enjoy camping, hiking, boating
and biking.
It is my sincere hope that you find Cactus Ranch Elementary an inviting,
nurturing campus with a strong academic focus.
