Berkman Elementary School is located at 400 W. Anderson Ave. in Round Rock, Texas and is part of the Round Rock Independent School District. Approximately 600+ Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade students attend Berkman Elementary.

Our school, Claude Berkman Elementary, originally known as Central Elementary, was named after Mr. Berkman in 1975. Claude Berkman attended Trinity Junior College in Round Rock, Texas, and later graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, with a BA degree. He earned his Masters of Education at the University of Texas. Mr. Berkman began his teaching career in 1930 in Lueders, Texas, where he served as high school principal, coach, and teacher. He was superintendent for the last two years he was there. After spending two years in the armed forces, Mr. Berkman came to Round Rock in 1947, where he served as elementary school principal for 26 years. Claude Berkman Elementary was established in 1959.
Berkman Elementary School
