SCHOOL INFORMATION

Vision

We envision a school community where students, teachers, and families work productively toward success for all through respect, cooperation, and responsibility on everyone's part.

Mission

Voigt Elementary is a diverse learning community where all families are valued and respected.  Every effort of this school is focused on providing exemplary education, guidance, and encouragement to empower our students to realize their full potential.

Learner Centered Academic Pledge

We believe that every student must acquire the knowledge and skills defined in the Aligned Round Rock Curriculum.  We are committed to ensuring that all young people of different socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, gender or ability succeed academically.

It is our purpose to educate all students to high levels of learning to ensure college and career readiness, while fostering positive growth in social and emotional behaviors and attitudes.  The entire staff pledges itself to these outcomes.

Programs

Our many programs include: services for students working above grade level including Talented and Gifted (TAG) and enrichment, as well as services for students with disabilities, speech therapy, Reading Recovery, music, art, wellness, Fit Is It, choir, Student Council, Safety Patrol, Title I Reading Project, Peer Mediation, ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) and the Birthday Book Club.

Character Education

This year Voigt will focus on six traits to strengthen students' citizenship as part of our 'TOP VOIGT VIKING STAR STUDENT' recognition program.  The components of good citizenship that are essential to academic and life-long success will be integrated into learning during the school year with the celebration of the Top Voigt Viking recognition lunch.
