IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS AND MENTORS
School volunteers are required to complete a Name-Based
Criminal History check every year. This applies to
all volunteers, including field trip, library,
WatchD.O.G.S., and classroom volunteers. Click on the
links below for more information or to begin the online
application process. Paper applications are available in
the office.
NBA and NFL Program
In order to promote good attendance, students
are participating in the
NBA (Never Been Absent) and
NFL (Never Found Late)
program.
Each student will be given a paper emblem of a
basketball or football for them to decorate, color, and
add their name. The teacher will then post their
students' emblems somewhere in the room on the wall or
bulletin board. They will remain on the wall until that
student is either absent or tardy. At the end of each
nine weeks, the students whose name/emblem is still on
the wall will be invited to participate in playing
bingo!
A big thank you to Synergy Financial Group for
sponsoring this activity for our school.
In addition to missing valuable instruction, every day
missed by a student costs the district $34 in state
funding. On an average day, roughly 1,800 students in
Round Rock ISD miss school, leading to a loss of
approximately $62,000 for each day, or roughly $10.8
million over the course of a typical school year.
