    Cheerleader Informational Meeting for Current 7th Graders

    Do you want to be an 8th grade Walsh Cheerleader? This is a mandatory informational meeting and all girls interested need to bring a parent with them to the meeting. RRISD cheer guidelines and Walsh cheer applications will be handed out. There will be a presentation on what Walsh cheerleading entails plus time for questions. Hope to see you there!

Walsh Awarded for Providing Character Foundation
Walsh Middle School has earned the 2010 Texas Promising Practices Award from the Character Education Partnership (CEP) which leads the nation in helping schools develop people of good character for a just and compassionate society. The CEP hosts a state and national competition to identify exemplary schools and districts to serve as models for others and to help schools and districts improve their efforts in effective character education.

The Walsh 6th grade Wildcat Choir competed at the RRISD 6th grade Choral Festival on Feb. 6 and received straight 1- Superior ratings from all judges.

Members of the Walsh Choirs competed at Solo and Ensemble and Walsh returned home with 27 Superior ratings and 4 Excellent ratings. The students are Susana A., Sarah V., Jaylyn M.,
Lauren N., Stefano B., Rebekah T., Marissa M., Cassandra C., Sheridyn M., Kristie H., Amelia S., Sofia S., Andrea C.,
