The two search engines below generally provide safe internet searching for kids:

  A free web search tool for kids that is maintained by librarians.
  
• NetTrekker
  An educational search engine that contains sites that are approved by professionals. A password is required for home access. The password is available from the librarian.

Usernames and passwords for the following resources are available from classroom teachers, intervention teachers, the instructional technology specialist, and/or the librarian. Resources marked with an * are assigned to select students only.

  Games and activities provided by Pearson, the publisher of the adopted math textbook series, which are assigned by teachers.

  Online technology lessons that are organized by grade level TEKS and assigned by teachers.

  TAKS preparation in math, reading, and science for third, fourth, and fifth graders.

  Teaching activities, assessments, and quizzes for third, fourth, and fifth graders that are assigned by teachers.

Acceptable Use Guidelines

Students and teachers MUST follow Round Rock ISD's Acceptable Use Guidelines when accessing online resources at school.

Students use laptop computers for doing research, for writing stories, and for creating digital stories. They also use computers to access AR tests and Study Island, as well as activities found in enVision math, TAKScopes science, and TMSDS.
