Congratulations to Alex M for placing 6th in the country in Prose at the National Forensics League National Tournament on June 18. Prose began with over 450 students competing from across the US.  After 8 preliminary rounds and one semi final round, and then finals, Alex, along with Ms. Brandi Boyd, stood on the finals stage as Stony Point was announced and Alex won 6th.

Students, check the Stony Point High School Tigers in Service
page for volunteer opportunities. Tigers in Service FORMS MUST BE TURNED IN BY THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR - NO FORMS FOR PREVIOUS YEARS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
HOURS WORKED OVER THE SUMMER NEED TO BE TURNED IN BY THE END OF THE 1ST SIX WEEKS. Make copies of the forms before you turn them in and check the Tigers in Service Bulletin board to verify your hours. It is your responsibility to keep track of your hours. Stony Point 9 TAKS scores were mailed home on Friday, May 29th. Parents, please look for your child's individual TAKS scores in the mail next week. If you do not receive your child's scores, please contact the 9th Grade Center to ensure we have your proper mailing address.

TAKS results for the April retest are available
in the counseling office. Students who did not pass TAKS may not participate in graduation ceremonies. These students will have an opportunity to take the Exit level TAKS test again in July . Free tutorials are available. Affected students and their parents are encouraged to contact the SPHS counseling department to hear all the support services available in order to be ready for August graduation ceremonies.
