PHILOSOPHY
- Participating in track is not required. Young athletes choose to do so because they enjoy racing and competing. Our goal is to have a highly competitive program.
- We will emphasize the team aspect by encouraging participation by as many athletes as possible.
- As coaches, we will provide a training program and proper instruction of technique to insure the safety and well-being as well as the success for the athlete. Attendance at meets and practice is essential for continuous improvement
- We expect athletes to have a positive attitude, to compete with sportsmanship, and to conduct themselves in a proper manner.

PARENTS
- Check your child’s grades online
- Grade problems can be avoided if projects, homework, make-up, re-test are addressed before, not after the fact. Our season is short. Most of our track athletes are in off season for another sport
- They need to be academically eligible and healthy to compete
- Knowing the work load in off season, we sometimes back them off in track workout.
- Students have been told how hard work pays off and extra work makes you better.
- REST is sometimes is the most important preparation for competition, especially towards the end of the season.
