I want to address my concern for
student safety in regards to traffic and morning drop-off,
especially on days with inclement weather. Our goal is to have
students dropped off safely while not causing too many delays. I see
many examples of patience and caution each school day and I greatly
appreciate what you are doing. Please continue to be as patient and
cautious as possible. Along those same lines, because we have so
many cars coming through in the mornings, some of our students are
being dropped off near the campus. Instead of coming through the
drop-off line, they are dropped off on nearby side streets. I
certainly understand why some have chosen this option, but I must
say that it causes me additional concern. If at all possible, please
try to leave the house a bit earlier on inclement weather mornings.
This week we received input from parents and then placed a new
barricade in the north parking lot. We are going to monitor traffic
to see if it helps the car rider line move more efficiently. Thank
you for your continued input concerning this matter.
