Project Graduation 2010:

Round Rock High School Project Graduation 2010 will be held on graduation night, Saturday, May 29, 2010. This post-graduation, chemical-free celebration is held in a safe environment for our graduating seniors and their guests. The alarming number of alcohol and drug-related deaths that have occurred nationwide following commencement ceremonies has made Project Graduation a vital tradition at RRHS.

This event is organized and funded by the non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, Proud Dragon Parents, and staffed entirely by volunteer, senior parents. We are expecting more than 500 students at the party. To make this night happen our budget is over $40,000. To raise that much money, we need your help!

There is no cost for the seniors to attend the party; however, school funds cannot be used. That’s where Proud Dragon Parents come in. Together, we plan and raise the money for a night of food, refreshments, games, activities, music, entertainment, tournaments, prizes, and much more. Every dollar contributed toward Project Graduation is a tax-deductible donation to benefit our students.

Please consider contributing in honor of your graduating senior. Every dollar helps and no student will be turned away from attending the party for lack of a donation. The number of students attending Project Graduation has increased every year, and most students choose to attend. We plan on making it a celebration they won’t want to miss!

We are also in need of corporate donations. Now is the time to contact your employer and any businesses or professionals you think would like to make a tax-deductible contribution. The donations committee can contact them on your behalf if you prefer. If you own or run a business, please consider making a tax-deductible corporate donation of cash or items that could be used as prizes for our students. Contact Dee Marrs at bdonations@rrhspdp.org This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need to have JavaScript enabled to view it for details.

Donations may also be made online through PayPal. Please visit www.ProudDragonParents.org for additional information about donating and volunteering. Let’s make this the best Project Graduation ever! As the principal, I want to thank any and all of you in advance for your support and participation in keeping our students safe on this very important day and night in their lives.
