Round Rock Public Library Summer Reading Program!
June 5 - August 5, 2013 - get your kids involved! It's a great way
to keep those reading skills sharp, meet new friends, earn cool
prizes, and have fun!!! |

LIBRARY BOOKS - all books were due back to the

to send them in as you find them. Itemized bills will be sent home
for books not returned. |

In preparation for the summer break your
child’s medication will need to be picked up by Friday, May
31st.
All medications at school cannot be sent home this year due to RRISD
policies.
All medications left in the nurse’s office after 2:45 pm on
Friday 5/31 will be disposed of. Thanks for your
help and cooperation.

2013-2014 School Supply Lists for Old Town
Old Town Elementary has chosen to offer EduKit School Supply kits
for the upcoming school year. The program is a time saving, simple
way for you to ensure that your student has exactly what they need
to start the year off right and to be successful throughout the
year. You will no longer need to go from store to store in search of
that elusive item that teachers are expecting. EduKit will take care
of that for you! Your kit will contain the name brand items your
teachers have chosen. Visit

Parent Reminder
-
For students who are eating breakfast in the cafeteria, the doors
will be open starting at 7:15 am, and for all other students the
doors will open at 7:20 am. The doors open automatically at
7:20 am.
From the Parent/Student Handbook:
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE:
All students coming to Old Town will either be daycare riders, car
riders, bike riders, walkers, or bus riders. All
students are expected to be at school on time at the beginning of
the instructional day no earlier than 7:15 am. Students will be
allowed into the building at 7:15 am for breakfast. All
students not eating breakfast will be allowed to enter the building
at 7:20 am. The
tardy bell rings at 7:45 am. All students will go to their
classroom upon entering the building and sit in a designated grade
level area. Grade level teachers will supervise the students.

STAR Store Donation Request
- The next time you clean out a closet, garage, or toy box, please
consider donating to our school store. Our
STAR Store is completely OUT of donations. Please
consider donating any gently used toys, DVD's (rated G), games
(rated Everyone), stickers, pencils, gift cards, toys, dolls, boy
items, girl items, etc. You can send the items in with your child
to give to Mrs. Gibson or Mrs. Johnson! Thank you! |

E-News. You can receive information via email from the campus(es)
of your choice along with district E-News. |

Volunteer Reminder -
The Volunteer application for the 2012-2013 school year is now
available! Anyone who wishes to volunteer at a Round Rock ISD campus
at ANY time during this school year (including
fieldtrips) will need to complete an updated criminal background
check. Even those who completed a check last year must do so again
in compliance with Texas law. Don't forget to indicate which campus
you wish to volunteer at on your application.

welcome visitors at OTE! We ask that all visitors enter
through the front doors, and check in with the receptionist at the

Important Information regarding
school absences: Please remember
to call the attendance line at 428-7612 to report your child’s
absence(s). Or email to
kleymer_saving@roundrockisd.org. Please state your
child's name, teacher name, and reason for absence. Remember
to send a note upon your child’s return. If your child
is absent more than three consecutive days, a doctor’s note is
required.
