Art Lab

The Visual Arts teaching team works with each class for 60-75 minutes each week. Students are given the opportunity to express their creativity and thinking through a variety of media such as sculpture, ceramics, textiles, printmaking, painting and drawing. We see art as a meaning-making process. The art teachers collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to plan art experiences that enhance and deepen children's understanding. Students are encouraged to reflect upon their decision making throughout the process.
