The
GMS faculty is excited to offer the International Baccalaureate
Organization's (IBO) Middle Years Program (MYP) to incoming 6th grade
students and returning 7th and 8th graders. The students will participate in the
3-year program that focuses on his or her social and academic
development. The Areas of Interaction are at the core of the MYP. The
curriculum integrates the Areas of Interaction (Approaches to Learning,
Community and Service, Health and Social Education, Environment and Homo
Faber) with the 8 standard subject areas in order to develop an
appreciation for the interrelatedness of the subject areas, technology,
other cultures, and the world around us.
