representatives will be available to address questions and provide more
information regarding their offerings. The featured programs may

The Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented
Students states in section 2.3A (Program Design) that "School Districts,
when possible, shall provide out-of-school options relevant to the
student's area of strength." Round Rock ISD supports the involvement of
our advanced and gifted students in numerous programs and organizations
which offer to meet the needs of these learners outside the regular
school curriculum. Campus participation in such programs is optional,
but encouraged. Many programs rely on parents or teachers to serve as
the sponsor or team manager and are open to the full campus population.

School Zone Safety Update
Did you know that the State of Texas passed a law that
drivers can not use a cell phone in an active school zone? Williamson
County will be enforcing this law, so please keep our students safe by
not using a cell phone in a school zone when the lights are flashing!
After School Program
We will start running late busses on Tuesday, September
15th. Busses will run at 5:00pm for all after school programs (Summer
School Now, New Directions, Tutorials, Clubs) on Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday only. In order for a student to ride the late bus, then they
must attend one of these programs, and get a pass from the teacher to
ride the bus. Please note that we have one bus for the Wells Branch area
and one bus for everyone else, so students may not get home until
6:00pm.
Upcoming Events:
PRIDE "Glow Dance": September 18th--6th grade 3:30-5:30;
7th and 8th Grades 6:30-8:30pm. Students can not have any referrals or
owe any fines/fees in order to attend the dance. Tickets are $5 per
