Summer Office Hours

DMS Office hours are from 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday-please come to the principal's office if you need assistance during the summer.

The office will be closed from June 18th-July 11th.

Deerpark is a TEA Recognized School!

It has been an incredible year, and I am so proud of my teachers and students for working so hard. Summer is a time for rest and renewal, and I hope that you and your family have a restful and fun-filled summer break. I ask that you encourage your child to read something every day and to practice their math skills in real-life situations. We wish our 8^th graders all the best in high school, and we know they will be successful. We look forward to meeting our new 6^th graders, and seeing our new 7^th and 8^th graders when they return in the fall. It has been honor working with all of you, and I look forward to another great year. Please continue to check our web site for school information over the summer. Have a wonderful break!

PTA Accomplishments 09-10

This year PTA met it's budget and consequently was able to fund the following purchases and programs.

	A Portable sound system that has already been used for the DMS Talent Show, Fine Arts Fiesta, Spring Dance Spectacular, Pep Rallies and Award Ceremonies.
	Sponsored Culture Night, Science Night with Steve Wolfe of Science in the Movies
	Sponsored Valentine's Dance and Talent Show
	Purchase a new projector for the school
	Provide funds for the P.R.I.D.E. Carnival and monthly teacher appreciation treats for staff
	Maintain and beautify the school grounds
	Provided funds to the newly formed PTA's of RRISD's 3 new schools opening in the Fall

All of this could not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our parents.
